About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Columbus, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a visible, proactive presence across production areas, parking lots, and perimeter routes. You will conduct routine patrols, perform driving patrols as needed, document security-related observations, assist with access and visitor activity, and communicate clearly with site teams. Guided by an agile, reliable, and innovative approach, you will deliver through teamwork, act with integrity, and put people first.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to identify unusual conditions, unsecured doors, and other security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor and contractor check-in processes, verifying authorization and directing individuals according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site representatives and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Complete shift activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation, communicating key information during shift turnover and to Allied Universal supervision.
