As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor access points, conduct screening activities, and support security-related protocols that help reduce risk to people and operations. You will stay visible, communicate clearly with team members and visitors, and deliver customer-focused service with professionalism. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • X‐ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific security-related procedures and access control requirements at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen individuals, belongings, and deliveries as required, verify identification and credentials, and help manage entry and exit through designated checkpoints.
  • Monitor cameras and alarm systems, document unusual activity, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with emergency response activities as directed by site policy.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including building interiors, dock areas, and perimeter points, with working conditions that may vary by location.
