Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures at a government location, monitoring entry points, and supporting approved access control processes for visitors, staff, and vendors.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorized access permissions while documenting arrivals, departures, deliveries, and other security-related activity in accordance with post instructions.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, staff, and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
• Monitor doors, gates, screening areas, and restricted access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and support order throughout the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter when assigned, while observing for unusual conditions, hazards, and/or security-related concerns and reporting them promptly.
