As a Security Officer Driver Gatehouse in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor/manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor and document the entry and exit of employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries, verifying credentials and directing individuals according to site access requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns according to established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and access points to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or potential hazards within the location.
  • Support security-related operations in a chemical and petrochemical environment by maintaining accurate logs, communicating clearly with site contacts, and reporting observations in a timely manner.
