As a Security Officer Driver Gatehouse in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
A minimum of 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor/manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
Monitor and document the entry and exit of employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries, verifying credentials and directing individuals according to site access requirements.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns according to established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and access points to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or potential hazards within the location.
Support security-related operations in a chemical and petrochemical environment by maintaining accurate logs, communicating clearly with site contacts, and reporting observations in a timely manner.
