As a Security Officer Gated Community in Laguna Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a premier commercial real estate location, where you will help monitor entry points, verify access, observe activity, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at the location, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and unusual activity according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with residents, property management, and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property, common areas, and perimeter, noting security-related concerns and reporting maintenance, lighting, and/or access issues.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by observing gate activity, challenging unapproved entry attempts when appropriate, and following established escalation procedures.
