As an Access Control Officer at a busy automotive location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage badge access, and maintain visitor logs while staying visible at key entry points. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and communicate concerns promptly to the site team. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive manufacturing and/or corporate location.
  • Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by checking identification, issuing temporary credentials, verifying appointments, and directing authorized traffic to the correct areas.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity using logs and available systems, report irregularities, and communicate access issues to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching resources and coordinating with on-site teams and/or local responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
