As an Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and support a welcoming experience for tenants and guests. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and document observations with clear communication. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders at a commercial property.
- Control access at entrances and restricted areas by verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials as directed, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
- Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems, and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns to property management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities and coordinating with local responders when directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, and document observations and incidents in written reports.
