As a Security Officer in Shakopee, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor access records, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access in accordance with site procedures, provide directions as needed, and report unusual activity, damaged barriers, or malfunctioning access-control equipment.
