About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time X Ray Screener in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government location, you will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by screening visitors, packages, and property, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide clear communication and professional customer service while helping to deter incidents. Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures and policies.
• Screen individuals and authorized items entering the government facility using established access-control and screening protocols.
• Monitor screening equipment and report prohibited items, suspicious activity, access concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
