As an unarmed patrol professional at a government airport location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service to travelers, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, public spaces, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying throughout the airport location.
  • Monitor for unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or potential hazards; report observations promptly according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate airport personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and security-related concerns accurately, and help to deter prohibited activity through a visible professional presence.
