About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Security Screener in North Brunswick, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by screening personnel, visitors, and materials, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and deliveries in accordance with established entry, identification, and prohibited-item procedures.
• Monitor access points, shipping and receiving areas, and applicable camera or alarm systems; report unusual activity, damaged property, and policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, business perimeter, parking areas, and loading areas to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
