As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Service in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and documenting activity as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of shelter common areas, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with entry processes and reporting unauthorized access concerns.
  • Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications while working collaboratively with site staff and emergency responders as needed.
