About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Response in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel; verify credentials and follow site procedures for visitor and vehicle access.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
