As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Driver in Oakland, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic government waterfront location. Conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist visitors, and communicate clearly with site personnel. This driving position requires a valid driver's license in accordance with AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, tenants, and authorized personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and following established reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of port facilities, buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, observing vehicle and pedestrian activity, and directing visitors in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and unusual activity, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
