As a Security Officer Full Time Driver Route Security in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and support a welcoming environment while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven values.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • X-Ray Screening Experience is preferred.
  • Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
  • Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology, media, or telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and potential security-related issues.
  • Monitor access to designated areas by checking credentials, verifying visitor authorization, and documenting entries and exits in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed by established protocols.
  • Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs while maintaining professional communication with Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
