About The Position

Requirements

• Have 3+ years of Military Police or Corrections Officer or Armed Security experience, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Provide proof of high school diploma/GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or public agency contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, offices, and surrounding perimeter locations to help identify suspicious activity and unusual conditions.
• Serve in an armed post while following all post orders, use of force guidelines, and weapon handling procedures applicable to the location and assignment.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public spaces to help support security-related operations, assist with reporting concerns, and help to deter unauthorized activity.
