Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and authorized personnel while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a government office location.
  • Monitor entry points, verify identification and authorization, manage visitor sign-in processes, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document events as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity or facility concerns.
  • Support a professional, orderly environment by communicating clearly with the public and following established security-related procedures.
