As a Front Desk Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will welcome residents, guests, and vendors, manage access control and badge procedures, answer calls, and document security-related activity with clear communication. You will stay visible at the lobby desk, help to deter unwanted activity, and collaborate with the property team to support a professional experience. Requirements

  • Have 6+ months of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, residents, visitors, and vendors at the front desk while following site-specific, security-related procedures and policies.
  • Monitor lobby activity, access points, and security-related systems as assigned, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Manage visitor processing including sign-in, credential verification as directed, issuing temporary access items when applicable, and notifying occupants of arrivals.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting building management and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete routine documentation such as incident reports, visitor logs, and shift activity logs, and communicate key updates during post transitions.
