As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will be the first point of contact, welcoming visitors, supporting access control, and monitoring lobby activity to help identify and report security-related concerns. You will use clear communication, customer service, and basic technology tools to assist employees and guests while documenting activity. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees and/or vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Operate the front desk by greeting and directing visitors, managing sign-in and sign-out logs, issuing temporary badges and/or access credentials, and supporting basic access control for a financial services location.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms and/or other building systems from the front desk and report unusual activity, maintenance issues and/or policy concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating minor disputes, coordinating with on-site staff, and contacting emergency services when directed.
  • Complete shift reports and incident documentation, maintain accurate records of visitor activity and key control when applicable, and communicate relevant updates during post handoff.
