Job Description As a Security Officer - Front Desk in Lake Forest, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a healthcare location, you will be the first point of contact, welcoming staff and visitors while supporting access control, badge verification, visitor check-in, and phone and radio communications. You will monitor cameras and alarms, document security-related activity, and escalate concerns to site leadership. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the front desk.
  • Monitor access at the reception area by greeting and screening visitors, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests to the appropriate location per site procedures.
  • Operate and monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and access control; report irregular activity and/or malfunctions per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing timely notifications to site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
  • Complete shift logs and incident reports, document visitor activity, and communicate post updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or incoming personnel.
