About The Position

As a Security Officer Front Desk in Portland, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and front desk protocols at a commercial real estate location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception activity, verify visitor information, issue access credentials as permitted, and document arrivals, departures, and other front desk activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to property management, emergency services, and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
  • Answer phones, assist with directions and general inquiries, and support security-related communications between building occupants, vendors, and authorized guests.
  • Maintain detailed logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while observing site conditions and reporting unusual or suspicious activity.
