About The Position

As a Security Officer - Front Desk Support in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and secure environment at a bustling commercial real estate location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, assisting visitors and tenants, and responding to security-related incidents. By providing outstanding customer service and maintaining a visible presence, you help to deter unwanted activity while upholding Allied Universal’s values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk of a commercial real estate location.
  • Monitor access and manage visitor registration processes to help to deter unauthorized entry into the building.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by site protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with building management, tenants, and Allied Universal personnel regarding security-related matters and site needs.
  • Assist with emergency response activities at the front desk when appropriate, including providing information and direction to emergency responders and building occupants.
  • Support the overall security-related operations of the location by maintaining a visible presence at the front desk and adhering to all Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
