About The Position

As a Security Officer - Front Desk Reception in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal, you will be the welcoming first point of contact at a busy location, supporting access control, visitor check-in, badge management, and phone and/or radio communications. You will monitor lobby activity, document security-related incidents, and partner with site teams to help reduce disruptions through professional presence and integrity. Requirements

  • Speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities from the front desk area.
  • Greet and screen visitors, issue visitor credentials, assist with sign-in and/or sign-out processes, and help direct guests to the appropriate location or point of contact.
  • Monitor and control access at the reception area by verifying identification, following approved entry protocols, and documenting access activity as required by post orders.
  • Answer and route telephone calls and/or radio communications, take messages, and provide information consistent with site guidelines while maintaining a professional front desk presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notify site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate, and complete required reports and logs.
