As a Security Officer - Front Desk Operations in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech and media location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents while serving as the first point of contact for visitors and employees. Requirements

A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, guests, and employees by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, and coordinate with appropriate personnel as needed.
Maintain a log of visitor and contractor activity, documenting relevant information and/or incidents as required by site protocols.
Assist in emergency response activities by following established procedures and communicating with Allied Universal management and/or emergency services as directed.
Answer inquiries and provide information or directions to visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
