As a Security Officer Front Desk Key Control in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a hotel location, you will serve as a welcoming, professional presence for guests, visitors, and staff. You will monitor access, assist with security-related concerns, maintain awareness of activity in the lobby, and communicate clearly with hotel personnel and emergency responders as needed. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, visitors, and staff at the front desk while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor access to the property, verify visitor and vendor credentials in accordance with site procedures, and direct individuals to appropriate hotel areas.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; promptly report relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
  • Maintain awareness of lobby and entrance activity, help to deter unauthorized access, and document incidents, observations, and unusual activity according to site procedures.
  • Assist with front-desk communications, including answering phones, providing directions, and coordinating with hotel personnel to support a welcoming guest experience.
