About The Position

As a Security Officer Front Desk Driver in Grand Island, NE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at an educational location, you will welcome students, staff, and visitors while supporting access control and maintaining a professional, visible presence. You will provide outstanding customer service, monitor security-related activities, and communicate clearly with campus partners. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
  • Manage front desk operations by greeting and directing visitors, maintaining visitor records, and communicating applicable access requirements.
  • Monitor entrances, cameras, alarms, and/or other security-related systems from a stationary post, reporting unusual activity or concerns according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Assist with access control, badge verification, package and delivery coordination, and visitor support while helping to deter unauthorized entry.
