About The Position

As a Security Officer - Front Desk Coordinator in Burbank, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will greet employees and visitors, manage access and badging, monitor alarms and access control systems, and document security-related activity with clear communication. You will be a visible, helpful presence that can help to deter incidents while delivering a welcoming customer service experience. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers and/or visitors at the front desk by following site-specific security-related procedures and access requirements.
  • Control facility access by verifying identification, issuing temporary badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests to designated check-in areas for an industrial location.
  • Monitor alarms, CCTV feeds, phones and/or radios from the front desk, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including activating site emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Prepare complete and accurate written reports of shift activity, incidents, access issues and/or unusual conditions, and maintain required documentation per post orders.
