Job Description As a Security Officer - Front Desk Associate in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a premier residential community, you will welcome residents and guests, manage access control and badges, monitor cameras and alarms, and document security-related activity with clear communication. You will be a visible, professional presence who helps to deter unwanted activity while delivering outstanding service. Requirements

  • Security Experience ‐ 6+ Months is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential community front desk.
  • Control access at the front desk by verifying identification, managing visitor registration, issuing credentials as directed, and directing authorized persons to the appropriate location.
  • Monitor alarm panels, cameras, intercoms, and building communication systems, and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, contacting on-site management and/or emergency services, and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete detailed reports and front desk logs, including incident reports, visitor activity, deliveries, and shift turnover information, in accordance with Allied Universal requirements.
