About The Position

As a Security Officer Front Desk Access Verification in Wayne, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following site-specific policies, access-control procedures, and security-related protocols at the front desk.
  • Greet visitors, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and access records in accordance with facility procedures.
  • Monitor lobby activity, entrances, and available alarm or camera systems, reporting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established response procedures.
  • Communicate clearly with facility personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, visitor concerns, and security-related matters.
