Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Previous alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or employees at a commercial real estate front desk by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Greet and screen visitors, manage access procedures, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs in accordance with site requirements.
  • Monitor building entry points, cameras, alarms, and communications systems; report unusual activity, access concerns, and maintenance-related issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
  • Answer phones, provide directions and building information, receive deliveries, and support a professional, welcoming lobby environment.
