About The Position

As a Security Officer for Logisitics Gate Access Control in Torrance, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific procedures and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the logistics and distribution location, including the building exterior, parking areas, access points, and perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying authorized entry, observing visitor and driver activity, and reporting unauthorized access or unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities through accurate reports and shift logs.
