About The Position

As a Security Officer - Food Hall/Shopping Mall Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Requirements

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail common areas, entrances, corridors, loading areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor the location for policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or maintenance issues, and report observations to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Assist with directing foot traffic, answering questions, and supporting a professional atmosphere while helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or disruptions.
