About The Position

As a Security Officer FM 519 in Texas City, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, process visitors and contractors, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site procedures.
  • Control vehicle and pedestrian access to the chemical and petrochemical location, including directing authorized traffic and reporting unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency and security-related protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, exterior areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
