As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist guests and team members with clear communication, and document observations using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

• Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Lift Up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, guests, and/or team members by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site management and/or public emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor areas, entrances and exits, receiving and loading areas, and the exterior perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Observe and report suspicious activity and/or policy violations, help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or disorderly conduct, and document events through detailed reports and shift logs.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other security-related systems when assigned, provide visible presence at key points, and assist with access control and customer flow during peak shopping periods.
