As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support store teams and guests with strong customer service and clear communication, while reporting concerns and assisting with incident response. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and store guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the sales floor, receiving areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity.
• Monitor store entry and exit points and high-traffic areas, observe for suspicious behavior, and promptly report concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting de-escalation, coordinating with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed, and documenting actions taken.
• Complete reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, communicate post orders during shift turnover, and assist with access control and key control as directed by site-specific policies.
