As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will make regular rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support shoppers and associates with friendly customer service and clear communication. You will document observations, respond to situations, and partner with site teams while living Allied Universal values of being agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, and acting with integrity. This post requires a valid driver’s license per Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients at a retail location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of sales floors, stock areas as permitted, entrances and exits, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity.
Monitor customer and associate activity for unusual behavior, respond to incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site leadership and/or law enforcement as appropriate.
Control access and support traffic flow at entry points, receiving areas, and parking areas, including checking deliveries and/or directing visitors per site requirements.
Complete reports and maintain required logs for incidents, patrol observations, and daily activities, and communicate concerns to Allied Universal management and site contacts.
