Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Officer at a busy retail mall location, where you will monitor and patrol common areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. Bring strong communication and customer service to support guests and tenants, while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and store associates at a retail mall location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, corridors, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or hazard concerns for reporting.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, lost child reports, and after-hours access requests, and notify appropriate parties as directed.
Monitor entry points and mall activity, assist with access control, and complete routine checks of doors, gates, and restricted areas in accordance with post orders.
Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
