As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, support access points, and assist employees and visitors with clear, professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license per Allied Universal policy. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 1 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or public responders as required.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, access points, operational areas, and perimeter routes, documenting observations and reporting irregular activity.
  • Monitor and control access for employees, contractors, and visitors by verifying identification and/or authorization and directing individuals to the proper check-in process.
  • Complete routine reports and logs, including patrol activity, incident documentation, and shift turnover information, in accordance with site requirements.
