As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and help keep daily operations running smoothly. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disruptive behavior, access concerns, and calls for assistance.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor direction, and/or support staff with security-related requests while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Document observations, patrol activity, and incident details in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
