As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license, with time spent moving throughout the property and responding to needs as they arise. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify potential issues.
  • Monitor for suspicious behavior, theft indicators, and policy violations, and coordinate with store management and/or local responders as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including handling disturbances, medical calls, and alarms based on site procedures.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, shift logs, and patrol activity records, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
