As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist guests and tenants with clear, professional communication. You will conduct routine rounds, observe and report unusual activity, and respond to concerns with calm service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and store personnel by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, corridors, parking areas, and the building perimeter, noting unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with property management and local public services when needed.
• Monitor entrances and key areas to help to deter unauthorized access, loitering, and disruptive behavior, and provide direction and assistance to guests as needed.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate relevant information to the Allied Universal supervisor and site contacts.
