As a driving post at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine mobile patrols, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to reports, support emergency readiness, and deliver clear communication and customer service to employees and visitors. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an EMT Certification.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess an F85 or F89 Certificate of Fitness for New York only.
  • Have previous firefighting experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or public emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, loading and unloading points, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by post and location.
  • Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining entry and exit logs, and directing visitors and contractors to approved routes.
  • Complete timely reports for security-related incidents, alarms, and unusual activity, and communicate shift updates to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
