As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Assist with maintaining a secure environment by observing and reporting any unusual or suspicious activity at entry and exit points.
  • Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting visitors and employees with access-related questions and concerns.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, following protocols for incidents that may occur at a chemical or petrochemical location.
  • Document all access control activities, incidents, and observations in required reports and logs.
  • Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal personnel to address security-related concerns and support overall site operations.
  • Respond in a calm, problem-solving manner to incidents and critical situations related to access control at the location.
