As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will support students, staff, and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. Position Type: Flex Pay Rate: $20.63 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Thur 07:00 AM - 02:30 PM Fri 07:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, common areas, and perimeter locations such as walkways and parking areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points for authorized entry, assist with visitor direction and/or sign-in procedures as required, and report suspicious activity and maintenance concerns.
  • Observe and report security-related hazards, policy violations, and unusual conditions using written reports and/or electronic reporting systems.
