As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols of common areas, storefronts, and parking areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist guests and tenants with clear, professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and guests at a retail and mall location by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, assisting with lost children or property reports, and coordinating with mall management and/or local responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and observe foot traffic, loading areas, and tenant corridors for unusual activity, reporting concerns through the chain of command.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate updates to oncoming personnel and site leadership.
