Join Allied Universal at a government location as an unarmed patrol officer, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to concerns, and deliver strong customer service and communication while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, observe for unusual conditions, and verify identification and/or authorization as required by post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and irregularities in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate relevant information during shift briefings and/or handoffs.
