Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support guests and tenants with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, giving you the chance to cover multiple areas, respond to calls for assistance, and represent our agile, reliable, and innovative team with integrity.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, tenants, staff, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, supporting de-escalation, and requesting assistance when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail storefront areas, common areas, service corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor for irregular activity, unauthorized access, loitering, and/or property damage, and help to deter issues through high-visibility presence and professional interaction.
- Complete required reports and logs, document unusual activity and/or incidents, and communicate pertinent information to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
