You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist employees and visitors with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, labs, offices, parking areas, and perimeter routes; document unusual conditions and report maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access control points and security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and badge readers; verify identification and assist with visitor check-in, directions, and policy questions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, unauthorized access attempts, disturbances, and medical situations; request additional resources as needed.
  • Complete accurate shift activity logs and incident reports, communicate clearly during shift transitions, and coordinate with client points of contact and emergency responders when required.
