As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering helpful customer service. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license meeting AU Driver Policy Requirements is required. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and/or shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor for and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or hazards; help to deter theft and other loss through high-visibility presence and customer engagement.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts and coordinating with site leadership and/or public responders as needed.
- Complete reports and documentation for incidents, patrol activities, and security-related observations, and communicate updates to Allied Universal management and site contacts.
