As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will assist guests and store teams with clear communication and professional service while documenting and reporting concerns. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, supported by a caring, integrity-led team culture.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales floors, common areas, receiving docks, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with lost children or property, disputes, medical calls, and/or fire or intrusion alarms as directed by post orders.
- Monitor and control access points as assigned, observing for suspicious behavior, supporting loss prevention staff when requested, and documenting observations per site policy.
- Complete shift activity reports and incident reports, communicate key information to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts, and support continuity during shift transitions.
